Instructions for authors
1.- All manuscripts must not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Original manuscripts must be submitted via e-mail to the following address: [email protected]
2.- Manuscripts can be written in Spanish, Portuguese or English.
3.- Accepted file formats are
- Text: Microsoft Word 97, 2003 or 2007 (.doc and .docx). OpenOffice (.odt).
- Figures and images: minimum resolution 300 ppp (600 ppp recommended) as tiff, png or jpg (low compression) files.
- The names of the files must be descriptive of their content (e.g., “Figure1.tif”, “manuscript.doc”, etc).
4.- Figures and tables may be included within the text. However, all of them must be sent separately as high quality files. If the quality of figures is low, the manuscript could be rejected without any further revision.
5.- The first page of the manuscript must include the title of the manuscript, names of all authors, affiliations and the e-mail address of the corresponding author. Furthermore, a brief abstract of the manuscript (no longer than 10 lines) should be included in English. Finally, up to 6 keywords must be provided in the first page.
6.- Structure of the manuscript: Dividing the manuscript into different sections namely Introduction, Results, Discussion, Conclusions and Bibliography is strongly recommended. Nevertheless, some of these section may be merged together or new sections may be included if necessary.
7.- References: References will be included along the text in square brackets according to the order of appearance. They should also be detailed under the “References” section as follows:
[1] Smith, J. and McDonald, R.; Name of the journal, volume (year) first page-last page.
[2] González García, E.; “Title of the book”, editorial, city (year).
[3] Ferreira, J.; “Title of the book”, editorial, city (year) first page-last page.
8.- All manuscript will be peer-reviewed by at least two reviewers.
